March visit to the Botanical Gardens in Albuquerque

Needed to get out to the Botanical Gardens before the season moved on. Things are bursting open all around the valley...it seems early.

These are Chaste Trees and I like the way they grow and provide shade when they are in leaf. They also produce a lavender flower spike.  I bought one this week and planted it in my placita in the back to provide some shade...eventually.
