Canyon Rinconada
Yesterday I took a 3 mile hike up into Canyon Rinconada, which is part of the Petroglyphs National Monument. Indian culture and geography combined here to make it the place where they would etch images on the dark lava rock by pecking away the outer layer.
It was a good place for a hike. It is very sandy and it doesn't take long to get sand in your shoes. If you go, take water.
